The US Black Heritage Project is partnering with the Ulster County Truth and Reconciliation Commission to bring the Black families of Ulster County, New York–many of them formerly enslaved–to WikiTree, a public forum so descendants will have free and easy access.

The commission’s genealogical goal is “to document the lives of enslaved people as well as their descendants in Ulster County, New York.” See their page linked above for more information.

All original research was done by the Ulster County Truth and Reconciliation Commission, however USBH members may add additional family and sources as they are found.
